Hanging with Celebrities

We got to hang out with Rutledge Wood from SpeedTV's "The SPEED Tour Challenge" and Nascar #45's driver Kyle Petty on Wednesday, October 24, 2007. We went to this cool little bar in Newnan, GA and sang Karaoke. All the pics are really dark becaues we were using my camera phone. Bummer! We sure had a blast! :)

Here is Kyle Petty. Bet you never thought you'd see him sing karaoke! He is actually a pretty darn good singer. What a hoot!

Rutledge Wood. What a goofball! If you've ever seen him on his show, he really is that goofy. Who ever thought you could make a living by being a goofball. ;)

Kyle and Rutledge on stage together. Too much fun!

Uh, Rutledge??? What are you doing? hehe

Bummer... this pic is of me standing between Kyle and Rutledge but it was so dark in the bar that you can hardly see us. Bummer!

Georgia Aquarium

Bob with the HUGE Grouper Fish

This is two of the four Whale Sharks. They were massive and graceful. You can see the second one in the background.

Awwww... a cute little school of rays.

the grouper

look how tiny the ray is in the corner... or the guys head in the other corner. These grouper fish were HUGE!!!

a sword fish... how cool!

Me with the grouper

the whale sharks.....

I don't remember this guys name, but he is a bottom feeder shark

one of the huge rays from the school of rays was chillin at the bottom of the tank. I decided to kneel down by it so you could see just how big he really is.

the whale sharks again

the jelly fish were awesome. This one was the size of a cantelope

These little guys were about the size of a quarter.

These, about an orange. They changed the color of the lighting, here in yellow...
here in pink

again, the cantelope sized ones with huge tails

These were about the size of a small egg.

aaaaaawwwwww one of the four beluga whales. They were so pretty.
This little guy was about a foot tall and was such a ham. He loved the people and was looking at us as much as we were looking at him.
how beautiful... the leafy sea dragon. Can you see him? There are more pics of them.....

These huge crabs are from Japan. Creepy!

This was one of the "touch" tanks. We could put our fingers in the water and they would grab us with their tentacles. It was hard to feel them because the water was so cold, but it was so neat to see them grabbing us.
These fish were above us.

Another "touch" tank. This one had rays and small sharks.

Mr. Blow Fish. He was so friendly and kept posing for the camera, but was kind of a tease too. Just as we would hit the button to take the picture he would swim away. It took almost 10 tries to get each of these, but they were worth it.

Me at one of the first displays we saw that day.
If you get to Atlanta, it is well worth it to go to the aquarium. We had such a great time and it was very impressive.
